As a pediatrician, I felt this was an amazing resource to help any family journey through celiac disease. The attitude of the book is perfect, using rhyming to take you from symptoms, to diagnosis, to adjustments, and really how to live joyfully with celiac disease. The tips are so practical and clearly come from experience. Along with a very informative Q&A section after that answers so many typical questions. Truly a great, simple, and informative resource for families to read and something all health care professionals can really recommend to all of their patients with celiac disease.

As a hospital pharmacist with younger family members having similar problems, I think this book will help them understand that they are not alone with their dietary concerns and that others have found ways to accommodate their disease and still enjoy eating and being with others. The author’s rhyming style and accompanying illustrations make this a book applicable to all ages - a rare feat.

The author’s Q&A at the end is aimed at adults, and clarifies many questions and concerns about celiac disease as well as Gluten Free diets.

This book is a must read for anyone with kids newly diagnosed with celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivities. It takes the “scary” out of a serious situation.

It's not just for people with celiac disease, it's a great read for everyone to understand what it is and what people go through to eat gluten free. It also helps you deal with the situation, how to live a gluten free life. A much needed book, simply clever and educational for everyone!

This book is amazing! I love how relatable it is for anyone with a dietary restriction, be it Celiac, allergies, diabetes, and more! I think it is helpful for other kids to learn about why some kids may pack their own snacks / treats, what it means when they hear the words “Celiac Disease” and knowing that many times, even in the absence of the aforementioned dietary restrictions, healthy habits can be hard to achieve and maintain for EVERYONE (exercise, healthy eating / proportion, etc). However, with good planning, a solid support system, and notable improvement in overall well being, you can achieve a healthier, new YOU!

This book of Sabina's celiac story is a colorful story of a young girl and her family learning how to live with Celiac. It is full of rhyming, fun and easy for young readers to understand what is Celiac disease and how to live with it. The images are cute and bright. My 10 year old enjoyed reading it and asked many questions afterwards. It made us dig deeper into the Celiac disease and do our own research. Any book that does that to my 10 year old is an A+!

The best part of this extremely informative book is how absolutely cute it is while being an instructional guide on dealing with celiac disease. This is not easy to pull off , but the casual rhyming style helps the reader to relax and enjoy the mystery of what is ailing Sabina. Kids with celiac disease or kids with puzzling symptoms who have not been diagnosed will benefit from hearing how one little girl and her intrepid family solved the mystery of what was ailing her and came out happy and healthy.

LOVE this book! Validating and supportive storytelling, made fun and entertaining for readers of all ages by the clever rhymes and beautiful illustrations. This book is a must-read for families navigating food allergies and dietary restrictions together. It's educational in a way that will build empathy in readers who are interested in supporting their friends, and becoming more aware about how they can be inclusive in social settings and gatherings around food. Love that this book exists for young readers, who can develop that empathic awareness at such a young age-- together with their caregivers, who can do so much to be inclusive around food and gatherings as well simply by finding food that everyone can eat, and being understanding when kids bring their own food to parties. Also reviewed by my kids (10 and 7): "The drawings are amazing, the rhyming storytelling is so creative, and it's just overall a really great book! We really liked it!"
